Honey, I'm not a doctor!. However, I have had this problem in my past and my wife suffers with it now!. So, we've had a bit of experience with it!.Just my two cents worth !.!.

The cyst is little more then an accumulation of fluid around your joint!. For some reason, the membranes around the joint can get swollen with it and it distorts one side or another with it and it can become huge!. If you operate to remove it, the chances are that it may come back!. There's no way to really prevent these!. Some people are prone to them, some aren't!. My poor wife suffers this now and then - I only had it once when I was a child!. They operated on me and it never came back by my wife gets the same one all the time!. Fortunately, it just hinders her a bit and doesn't hurt!.

I'd say for someone as young as you and active, it is understandable that this would hurt!. It's repetitive actions that really aggravate these things!. My wife is an exceedingly hard working and very gifted floral designer, so she does engage in a lot of that!.

Old folk remedies in the Southern U!.S> dictated using the giant, 5 inch thick family Bibles to strike a cyst with, suddenly, bursting the cyst!. That is a possibility if you can handle the shock!. It's harmless as best as I can tell!. Instead of being that brutal, I actually was able to gently, yet firmly apply pressure to my wife's cyst for several minutes and squeeze the fluid down and out of the cyst!. I never burst the sac, and I'd say that it's possible to do that with you, but you're the one in charge of your body !.!. I'd say you could try that if you wanted to!. Hope you get to feeling better! Minimize your repetitive activity, take over the counter pain killers and hang in there!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are NOT alone! I am the same age as you, and I have a cyst in my middle finger and I am going to wait until it goes away and if it doesn't then "Surgery!"

All I can say is take pain medicine (When it really hurts!.)
Hang in there because you have 1000 more people out there that has the same problem!. And try not to push on it really hard!.

Hope I helped! :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's a cyst that's filled with fluid!. I had one, and it burst on it's own and yours may do the same thing!. Do what you normally do as long as you can tolerate it!. You can also try putting an ice pack on it when it's painful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
