Smashed my finger and has numbness?!
Question: Smashed my finger and has numbness!?
So I smashed my finger about 1 week and 4 days (It was a Wednesday) and like 3/4 of the nail is black!. At first the entire part around my the part where your finger print is and the tip was numb but it went away!. But around the corner of the bottom it still is!. How long will it take for this to go away!. (I went to the doctor and he said it was fine but he didn't x-ray it)

The tingling is an indication that the nerves are returning to normal, which means the numbness will go away!. If your doctor said it's fine, I would believe it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I don't think that you have broken your thumb!. I will tell you that i think that your finger nail will fall off!. I would think that your numbness will wear off in about another day or two!.
I did that in baseball with the bat and it felt numb for a week!. It started to where off after that though!. Your body makes it numb so you want feel as much pain as it really is!.

Owch!.!.!.sounds sore!. Protect your finger nail with thermal gloves which will improve circulation for faster healing & help ease the tingling!. U may loose the old nail but a new one will grow back soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
