i'm due for an x-ray this morning!. the letter says no food and only clear liquids!. does a cup of tea count as a 'clear liquid' if i dont put milk in it!? i really want one!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You may drink coffee or tea, but keep in mind that the caffeine might affect you a lot more if there is no food in your stomach to temper the absorption of the substance!.

When I had surgery I was told to only have clear liquids, and they said that included coffee and tea with nothing in it, and clear chicken broth, among the obvious!.

A "clear liquid" is a liquid that you can see through such as water and apple juice!. Tea is probably too dark of a liquid and you might want to hold off till after your test!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

When i had my X ray and colonscopy i was allowed clear liquids and this including chicken noodle soup with everything sieved out! i had a pamphlet from the hospital and i asked my consulatant first
