Needle came out while giving blood...is it anyone's fault?!

Question: Needle came out while giving blood!.!.!.is it anyone's fault!?
I went and gave blood yesterday and the needle really really hurt right away!. Then halfway through , the blood flow slowed and stopped and air started to come into the tube so they pulled it out really quickly which was agony!. The nurse said the needle had become dislodged and insinuated I had done it myself!.

Was it just bad luck or did the nurse not aim it right!? I don't want to critisize anyone, I'd just like to know!. My boyfriend went to the same blood bank a few weeks ago and his arm bruised purple and yellow all the way down, but the nurse said he must have used it too much afterward!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would stay away from this place! The person who put the needle into your arm did not secure it appropriately!. As for your bf, the person who did his needle did not do it correctly!. One shouldn't bruise after giving blood, if they leave the pressure dressing on for at least 15 minutes afterwards!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's really tough to get the needle in the right place b/c everybody's veins are really different, also different people bruise different amounts -your bf probably is just a bruiser, I know I am!

I don't think the nurse did anything wrong necessarily, the needle might have been in a good spot and then the slightest movement could have put it in the wrong position!. It's not your fault either, it just happens!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
