I'm over tired...had only 6 hours sleep in 48 hours...what can i do to make !


Question: I'm over tired!.!.!.had only 6 hours sleep in 48 hours!.!.!.what can i do to make myself sleepy!?

Aww you poor thing! perhaps take a nice hot and relaxing bath and hopefully you'll feel drowsy afterwards!. When I was a child my mother used to always make me a cup of hot milk and afterwards I'd always be drowsy, sleep tight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

try taking a Tylenol pm!. I'm not one who like to take medicine to go to sleep, but there are some times when it is necessary!. Other wise you can try a method i use often which may sound a little silly, but i swear it works!.

Lay flat on your back and close your eyes!. Make sure you are in a comfortable position!. (if you are not comfortable on your back you can lay on your side) tell youself to let your entire body relax!. Start from your head a work your way down to your feet!. And i know it sounds so odd, but say in your head "my head, my head is so tired and it needs to rest, relax and stay relaxed, my face, my face is so tired and it needs to rest, relax and stay relaxed, my neck, my neck is so tired and it needs to rest, relax and stay relaxed, my shoulders!.!.!. arms!.!.!.!. fingers!.!.!.!. chest!.!.!.!. stomach!.!.!.!. butt!.!.!. thighs!.!.!. calves!.!.!. feet!.!.!. toes!."

The trick is to not let your other body parts become unrelaxed!. I thought this was crazy when i was first told to do this, but i was having major surgery done and i was so scared i couldn't sleep!. I'm 22 now and i still resite that to myself when I'm tired and cant sleep for whatever reason!. hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take a warm bath with some essential oils like lavender (if you don't have any then bubble bath works just as well!.!.!.) Just put a few drops in and swirl it around a bit!.

Then have a warm, caffeine free drink (like warm milk) and go to bed!. If you can't sleep straight away, read a book or do something kind of boring, like a jigsaw!.!.!.

Try to avoid watching TV or going on the computer!.!.!.

If you still can't sleep, try getting up and going for a walk or something, but don't stay in bed!. (I read somewhere that if you stay in bed your body associates it with not sleeping)!.

You should fall asleep soon enough, there's only so long you can go without sleep!.

P!.S!. Try not to stress about getting to sleep because that really won't help you fall asleep!.

seriously read something boring you have very little interest in!. make sure you're in bed, warm milk drink ecetera ecetera and start war and peace or something!. make yourself read as long as you can!.

should work pretty quickly!.

top tip: get off the pc - looking at a computer stimulates the brain, so you're not going to fall asleep there!.

Dont stay on the computor too long as that makes your brain active and gives you computor glare!. Have a warm bath and a milky drink !. Make sure the rooms too warm or too cold !. Try and empty your mind of all worries!. Good luck hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Normally, i have my friends round we go hyper =D and do running screaming shouting e!.c!.t!. this tires us all out and we all colapse at about 5 in the morning so I'd say any combination of screaming, running, jumping and general hypernessWww@Answer-Health@Com

My simple solution is to do a load of excersise, you will feel very very tired, and then if that doesnt do it for you sit up playing the computer all night untill you fall asleepWww@Answer-Health@Com

you should count sheep!. i usually do it and by the time i get to abt 7 im usually out for the count,lol
