It hurts at the base of my skull and the pain radiates to my shoulders, and through the rest of my head
I do tech support so I'm on the phone at a computer for the next 8 hours and it's bothering my head!.
If I leave work I'm fired (no more sick days left)

I think the poster above who mentioned slipped disc is a bit much!. You described it as a terrible headache so let's start there first!.
As an IT professional looking at a computer all day (as I'm also an IT professional) my neck, shoulders, and head often hurt!.
Take some Excedrin Migrane!. It's not just for migranes, but it works WONDERS for headaches!. The best!
Then after work try getting a massage at a spa!. That also works wonders and if you're lucky you'll have some hot chic giving the massage!.

Sounds like a slipped disc!.!.you should go to the doc and have them do an MRI!.!.I have 3 slipped discs now and I get terrible headaches!.!.just like the one that you describes!.!.the pain in the shoulders is a good indication!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
