BAD knee PAIN....MRI showed nothing?!
Question: BAD knee PAIN!.!.!.!.MRI showed nothing!?
I have had terrible knee pain for the past 3 years!. I am 15 years old!.When I was 14 my knee started hurting terribly to the point where I could not put any weight on it!. I had an MRI done and it said that I had a tear in my medial meniscus!. I ended up doing PT and was still having knee pain but was dealing with it!. 3 weeks ago I ran 4 miles and into the 2nd mile my knee started hurting terribly!. I kept going and the pain got worse my whole leg had sharp pain in it!. I could not bear any weight on my left leg at all!. I went to the ortho 4 days later and got any MRI!. The weird thing is that the MRI report said there was nothing wrong with me at all!. Like my medial meniscus went away!. I went back to the doctors to get another x-ray and they say i might have a stress fracture on my femur!. Would a stress fracture cause this much pain to my knee and my whole leg!? Also would a meniscus tear just disapear!? What other things might I have wrong with my knee!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

To start with, MRI's are not always accurate!. The MRI missed 3 tears in my daughters meniscus!. Her Ortho Dr was pretty sure she had a tear after examining her knee!. After the MRI results came back, he decided to go in with a scope and take a look!.
He found 2 small tears, plus a big bucket handle tear, which he repaired!.
7 months after her surgery she was sent for another MRI because of ongoing knee problems!. The MRI came back as inconclusive!. They're not sure if they saw a stitch or if it was a tear!. The only way to tell for sure is if the Dr goes in and takes a look!.
As far as your tear going away, it's highly unlikely!. We were told a meniscus tear will not heal on it's own, as it has a very poor blood supply!.
Maybe a 2nd opinion is in order!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What did your dr say about Osgood Slaughter Syndrome!? Sounds to me like that could be part of the problem!. You need to take suppliments for your joints /muscle/tendon!. I wouldnt go to a place like GNC and dont buy stuff if they try to sell you 400$ worth of crap and promise you the moon!. The product should be around 30$ and you will know if it works within 2 months!.
Osgood cause inflamation from hell!. Its unexplainable when the pain starts!. I went to a chiro that dealt with the problem specifically and had my knee put back in place and then wore a brace made for the problem (total cost 45$ with the brace and chiro) And now I can run and ride a bike without haveing problems!.
If you have a stress fracture at your age you should really look into taking Chia seeds on a regular basis so you can get major calcium and minerals!.!.!.!. they are a super mega food!. Google Chia seeds if you dont believe me!. I buy mine at www!.herbspicetea!.com because they are cheaper and organic!. You take 12 tsp thru out the day and I grind mine up and add it to smoothies, cereal and salads!. Youll see its like 8 times more calcium than milk!. It will help your entire body and youll notice a difference in about 2 months maybe sooner since your younger and not that screwed up nutritionally!.!.!.hopefully!.
