I take a combo of lyrica and darvocet and other cocktails for fms can i now add !

Question: I take a combo of lyrica and darvocet and other cocktails for fms can i now add lortab!?
Answers:
No!. Not because of the opiate factor, but because Darvocet contains acetaminophen (tylenol) and is dosed based on the acetaminophen content!. If you are taking the max dosage of Darvocet, then adding Lortab (which also contains tylenol) would elevate you to liver toxic levels of acetaminophen!.

In general, opiate analgesics have a diminishing effect over time and are addictive!. You certainly know this, but I would consider asking your practitioner to find alternatives that are not as addictive and are generally more effective!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would typically suggest no right off the bat, but I would speak with your doctor first!. It depends on the dosages involved and also if you are on any other meds!. Also, did your doctor prescribe any muscle relaxants for your FMS!? They tend to help but over time you might end up needing more of them to get the same effect!. FMS sufferers have found relief from meditation, massage therapy, and trigger point injections with lidocaine too so your options are wide at this point!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If i were u I would just stop the darvocet and start taking Lortab, it's alot better than Darvocet but it is more addicting so be careful!!!!!!!!!!! U should NOT take both Darvocet and Lortab bc they both have tylenol in them and that is what damages ur liver and kidneys!!!!!!!!!!!!! BE careful!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Probably not all at once, since you didn't say what the other cocktails are though, how could we know!.
You should be calling the 24 hr Pharmacist for this type question!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wouldn't just for the simple reason of getting too much tylenol!. Your lortab is probably going to have 500mg of tylenol in it and the darvocet has even more, 650mg!. You are going to kill your liver!. Please be careful!.

I personally think they should just take darvocet off the market!. It doesn't give anyone I know of significant pain relief anymore than an extra strength tylenol!. And since it doesn't do a good job relieving pain, people tend to take more of it than prescribed!. Since it already has 650mg of tylenol, taking several of these a day could be deadly at worst, and a slow death of your liver at best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
