Back pain since having children?!

Question: since the birth of my four children (my youngest is 4 years old now) ~I am suffering sometimes with my back, nothing like agonising pain, just a real ache at the end of the day if I have been stood up or walking around alot, and sometimes it aches even the next day after I have been playing sport etc.

I also sometimes feel so stiff, and if i was to lie on the floor I have trouble sitting up quickly and it feels like my spine could snap in half!
All my babies were really big, like 9 pounders!!
I am not really overweight or in too bad shape, I am 30 years old, a UK size 10 clothes and I am about 5"4 tall.
the pain is always in my lower back, do you think there is anything I can do, and will it get worse as I age?!

I'm also a mom of 4, they are all young adults now, but I too suffer from lower back pain,
My mom once told me that it's from the epidurals that I had while in labor.....I also had c-sections, so there were other injections used too.

My babies were a good size too, mostly around 7 1/2 lbs to 8 lbs being the largest.

I still get back aches....even from sweeping or mopping the floors, I take it easy when I do certain things though, because after I've gotten older, it's a little worse. I even ruptured a disc in my back a few years ago, moving the sofa to vacuum under it....~sigh~

Take it easy and avoid fast jerky movements......I hope you feel better soon.
ps.....have you checked with your doctor yet?

Have you tried seeing a chiropractor? You might just need some spinal adjustments. Having kids throws your whole body off and it might help.

I've always had back pain so after my son was born and I had pain I kind of shrugged it off. However, I noticed the pain was centered at the site of my epidural. I asked around and a few of my girlfriends said they experienced the same thing. Try going to the chiropracter. It really should help. I went after a car accident, and I was feeling really well afterward.

I really don't know, maybe has something to do w/spinal tap or something.

or age. jus getting older. Aleeve helps here in the states if you have it there and Motrin very much.

Heating pad at night, the way you sleep at night effects it too, pay attention to that. How you lift the kids will effect it, etc. Lifting heavy objects, etc.
