I'm vomiting after drinking, every time after drinking, no one can tell me w!

Question: Every time i drink, and i mean whether or not it's a beer or a case of beer, the morning after i throw up. I can't even avoid it! I am taking birth control, and perhaps that is a factor in how i might be feeling, but i've tried everything to avoid a hangover. I don't mix my alcohols, i drink at least 3 huge glasses of water before i go to bed, and nothing seems to avoid this vomiting! I'm wondering if perhaps it may be early signs of liver deterioration? At any rate, i need to find new answers, because everyone keeps telling me the same thing. Thanks!

Because you get sick regardless of how much you drink, it sounds like your problem is probably genetic.
Normally, when a person drinks alcohol, it is metabolized in two steps. In the first step, the alcohol is converted to acetaldehyde. High acetaldehyde levels can cause skin flushing (heat and redness), nausea, vomiting, and headaches.
In the second step, the acetaldehyde is converted to harmless acetate by the enzyme acetaldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH). When large amounts of alcohol are consumed in a short time, the body can't keep up and acetaldehyde accumulates, causing a hangover.
People who have a genetic deficiency of ALDH enzyme activity are not able to properly metabolize the acetaldehyde, and it accumulates in their blood even when they drink small amounts. This is probably why you feel sick even if you only drink one beer.
This genetic deficiency is most common among people of Asian descent, but anyone can have it.
The drug Antabuse inhibits ALDH activity and is used to help alcoholics quit- when they are on Antabuse, they feel sick if they drink.

you may have an allergy to what you are drinking. go to the doctor and find out.

You might actually be allergic to alcohol.

You only mention beer. Have you tried any liquors? Beer contains yeast . You could be allergic to what's in the beer other than the alcohol. Try vodka or whiskey and if you have the same reaction then your problem is with alcohol.
allergies can come and go like the common cold. You can be fine for awhile and then all of a sudden, your getting sick from it. It probably is an allergy that you are dealing with though.

stomach is not absorbing alcohol .....which may be a good sign ....telling you that something worse could come of it ....if it did ...if you insist on having a beer ....try a little olive oil first ......but for the most part ....eat good foods that enhance the liver and kidneys ......good luck

Sounds like me - allergic to alcohol!

I've found the perfect solution - just don't drink. At all.

When I'm at a party, I drink tonic water and lime. No hangover, no nausea, no vomiting. Perfect! I haven't had a drink in over 6 years and it's been wonderful.
