Foot problems...?!
Question: Or more specifically, Sesamoiditis ^_^
Recently I visited an orthotician/foot doctor due to a pain in the ball of my foot. According to him, I have the above condition, which seems reasonable after reading the description here:

The fat pad beneath on the ball of my foot is a little more worn away than most, basically.
However, when consulting about the price, I was told that a custom orthotic would cost about five hundred dollars. Which seems somewhat ridiculous. Mainly because it is a pain I can manage, and also that it comes and goes only every three or four days. Me and my mother are already thinking about getting a second opinion, but I figure I might be able to at least get a few hints here.
According to foot.com, a "Gel Metatarsal Cushion" seems to be a decent solution to this problem. All I really need, I think, is some extra cushioning and perhaps a more supportive pair of shoes- which I hope to get sometimes soon...

in Northern California, we have the Good Feet store. And they sell the inserts for your shoes for foot problems. I don't think they are as expensive as 500 dollars, I think they are around a hundred...
