What's the mechanism of catching a cold (how do we catch a cold)?!
Question: I was told here by a respiratory professional that "Neither clothing nor weather exposure has anything to do with catching a cold. It's exposure to the cold virus that causes the infection that makes us sick."
If so, then why does my head ache everytime when I have washed my hair, and haven't dried it?
Also, why do I always feel sick after sitting in a draught coming from a nearby window?

it just cause irritation to the mucosal lining of respiratory tract and may facilitate infection or retard immune system in addition to headache due to muscle ache
Have you ever actually had a cold? It feels a lot different from a headache. Wet hair or a draught might make your body feel a little sick because it's cold but that doesn't make it a cold. A cold is a virus and the only way to get one is to catch it from someone else.
