Whos familiar with "drawout salve/black salve ointment"?!
Question: Like the last couple of days ive noticed like an enormous pimple thing on the side of my upper leg but it was like 2 inches in diameter and more painful then a pimple. It was also red. Just before i squeezed some puss ou of it and my mother applied draw out salve ointment along with a gauze. Is this going to work or should i be worried?

Sounds like you have a boil. Yes this will "draw it out"...make sure you keep it covered, cause it'll pop. You'll need to make sure the "core" is out of there too. If you continue to get these, you'll have to go to a doctor...this is actually a staph infection....and you'll freak out when you find out where it usually originates from. Best of luck to you.
It will work. It will draw the pus out and help it heal. Moms are always right!! lol
