sounds like reynauds syndrome, its an immune system fault where the circulation to the extremities is shut down too early when u get cold. normally it does this in freezing temperatures to protect the vital organs but in some people it occurs too early i have this and so do my kids, its so annoying and painful. warm hands gently with warm water or by moving them usually once they are warm they stay warm, if its a real problem then see doc as they can prescribe medication to dilate the blood vessels, i was offered this for my son but as hes only 12 i decided against it cos its not without side effects he has learnt how to warm up and his school are cooperative in allowing him inside to warm up during outdoor pe etc.

tell him to run his hands under a hot tap every now and then...

if you get a pair of wollen gloves & cut out the tips of the fingers ,he,ll be able to work .

buy hand warmers, hey stay wrm for abput an hour,a nd then you just boil them to make them work again...

Sounds like poor circulation. The best solution is exercise to keep the blood flowing

Its the other way round, run them under a COLD tap and they will warm up.

Sounds like a circulation problem named Reynauds syndrome. The Doc can help.

There are very thin, flexible gloves available which should be able to provide some insulation without getting in the way. If he develops tissue damage he might permanently lose mobility or sensation, which would *really* get in the way of work.

Sounds as though he has a problem with his circulation. Cut the fingers off a pair of warm gloves and maybe he could work that way whilst keeping his hands warmer. Fleece gloves would be good, woollen gloves are likely to snag on objects. He shouldn't put his hands into hot water as this could give him chilblains. Before going outside and when his hands are reasonably warm he could try massaging in some sort of cream or grease to help protect against the effects of cold. I am sure the chemist will have something suitable, or perhaps a sports shop who sell gear for mountaineering or boating/fishing. Try the internet for information on essential oils for circulation problems, you could find some interesting tips. His diet is worth looking into as well. The internet, again,
may be worth looking at for information. there are, of course, various reasons why someone always has cold hands, maybe he should see a doctor just to make sure it's benign. Hope these tips help.
