You should DEFINATLY tell your doctor. It probably just hurts because you haven't bent it in so long. He might give you some simple, gentle exercises to loosen the wrist again. don't pretend it doesn't hurt when it comes off, if it needs to be recast you need to go ahead and do that...or you'll cause yourself more harm.

Stop typing?
That's probably doing nothing to help your wrist.
ask for meds.

Let the doctor know. You can expect some pain but let him know how bad it is. He will probably take the cast off and put another bandage (like an ace bandage) on to give it support while it continues to heal.

umm yer id just say docters you cant really tell you what the pain is might not be done yet like me mates. well gd luck catch ya

Definitely discuss your pain with your doctor (that's what he's there for!). I broke my ankle when i was in 4th grade and had my cast on for 1 month. I was scared to have it off because I thought it would hurt to have it off, and to use my ankle again. I had to do some changes in how I walked at first, rest more often, etc. My advice to you: tell your doctor you are in pain yet, describe where it's coming from. If he takes the cast off and you still hurt, after telling him, take it easy and he probably will give you some kind of ace bandage or something.. at least they gave me this support thing for afterwards. Good luck!

Yeah, you tell the doctor. Who else is qualified to tell you if this is normal, if it's a problem, or something else?

Who did you plan to tell - your plumber?

I've got a broken wrist too. My cast comes off on the 19th. I only have a 1/2 cast though. Never even heard of that till i got it. But I am allowed to remove it for showers. Mine hurts alot when I have that off for showering. And I can't bend it very far. Even my fingers hurt alot trying to move them. We just have to get used to using those muscles again because they are tight and it's going to hurt stretching them. Hey! At least you'll get to scratch the heck out your arm and wrist now! Good luck.
