Would you take a sleeping pill if you were me?!

Question: I start a new job on Wednesday. The first week is third shift. I'm used to working 2nd shift.

So here it is 1pm on the east coast and I wonder if I should take a sleeping pill to make me sleep all day long--then stay awake all night long.

What would you do? Would you do the above, or would you just wait until the week started and get used to it the best way your body will allow?

I would not take a sleeping pill if I were you. Your system may not sleep as you had planned with the pill and then you really will be in a mess.

I don't know about you, but when I am anxious, I override the sleeping pill and cannot sleep anyway. Like if I have a reason I know I will have to get up early for an appointment. My mind races and the sleeping pill (Ambein) does not work.

Your Adrenalin will kick in by the time you get to your new shift gets here. You will knock out after you get home, but I would be you have no problem staying awake on your new 3rd shift.

Good luck and hope you like it............lol :).

it's quite the shift change, frankly, I'd start the change now, will make the job much easier.

ur body will eventually adjust, but if you really are gettin tires, then yh x

Well, I am a full blown insomniac, and drugs are the only way I can sleep. However, if you do not have that problem, I would try sleeping on your own for the first couple of weeks and see how you do. If it doesn't work, than maybe over the counter sleep aids would work for you.

daily intake will lead to addiction

so take after a gap of days
