Could i get drunk by injecting alcohol directly into my veins?!
Question: if you think about it for a sec,the reason why you get drunk is that alcohol begins to flow through your veins. Now, im not talking about using a bottle of wine and a needle - but in THEORY, could i get drunk if i inject as much as a few drops of pure alcohol into my veins.

Yes it would work, but you'd want to dilute it so you didn't die or harm yourself in some other way. As with anything you inject (which should be nothing), dosing becomes far more critical as overdose is a much greater possibility.
Alcohol isn't 'digested' in anyway when you consume it; it is absorbed directly into your bloodstream. You don't actually need to drink it for it to do its magic. And your liver does not get it ready for your bloodstream or anything like that; it removes it from your blood because alcohol is a poison and your liver is your body's blood filter. Your liver is what sobers you up.
You can experiment: take some liquor and hold it in your mouth for as long as you can and spit it back out without swallowing any. Do this a number of times, and guess what? You're drunk without having to drink a drop! What happens here is the alcohol is being absorbed directly through the mucus membranes in your mouth into your bloodstream.
Some people actually snort vodka (yeah it's gross) for this very reason; the alcohol gets absorbed into your blood through the mucus membranes in your sinuses in the same fashion other drugs are when snorted. Now I don't suggest doing this as I have heard you can die.

No you wont get drunk you would destroy components of your blood like red blood cell and others. When your drink alcohol ,the alcohol goes through different processes . The liver and kidneys act as filters to the substance and break it down and transfer it to the blood stream.
This is really an odd question. What would make you think of such a thing? I can't believe I'm going to try to answer such a silly question, but here goes! Anything injected directly into the blood stream will have an effect.
