How do you know if your ankel is broken?!

An x-ray is the only way to tell if it is broken or not. But to make the pain and swelling go away or at least ease up some, is to take Ibuprofen (Motrin). Try not to use it to much or you might aggravate it worse. I hope your ankle feels better and I hope this helps!

Sorry about your ankle. This type of injury can be extremely painful and debilitating (you can't walk!). Sounds like you need an X-ray. Consider calling your doctor's office and asking if you can be seen today... if not, ask if they can order an X-ray over the phone, so you can go directly to a radiology department first. Going to an ER for this type of injury is very appropriate if you can't see your doc.
Pop some pain pills and have someone drive you to the ER and get x-rays. Ice it, this will reduce swelling and pain. Sounds like your broke it. Feel better!
