Abdominal pain?!

Question: Well,I've been having abdominal pain on the lower left quadrant, for a couple of days, its basically gone away, the doctors said it was a stomach viral, and it should clear up with rest and go away on its on,it basically has,but i have a bad habit of poking at something that hurts,to make sure it isn't something more serious, like i had a tiny bit of pain in my lower right quardrant and i poked at it for 6 hours, and the skin was red and raw,the pain is still there,i was testing for rebound tenderness,[appendictis]today i was at the doctor and he said it wasn't appendicitis because i was not having any other symptoms except the slight pain and now the bad pain from my poking at it,when i barely put my hand on it it hurts because of all the un-nesessary poking and rubbing, will the pain from the poking go away if i leave it alone?thanks.:]

I'm stating the obvious here, but stop poking it and see if the pain goes away. If it doesn't, go back to your doctor.

i have that i poke it too but i think we shouldnt its like forcing the pain to go away or something were hurting ourselfs take some antibiotics, that would make it go away
