What would happen if a Cardiovascular Surgery doctor mess up in surgery?!

Depends on the mistake. Something small might have no effect. Could cause death, injury, stroke, heart attack, uncontrolled bleeding, a lot of things could go wrong, depends on the mistake.
Most likely, if the doctor was honestly at fault, the patient (or family of the deceased patient would sue). Some "Mistakes" are a risk of surgery and not actually a mistake of the doctor at all. A lot of grieving families sue, after a loved one dies on the operating table, but with all surgery is risk, and cardiovascular surgery due to its complexity has even more risks than the norm.
Huge malpractice suit if he messed up!!! Oh boy!
