This one night?!

Question: This one night, I smoked really good weed, the kb.

A friend and I went over to our other friend's house. And I never smoked out of bong before. I have taken too many hits out of the bong (3 or 4). But after an half an hour or so (don't remember the time frame), I passed out. My friends asked me what it felt like, and I explained it to them...turns out, they said that I passed out from lack of blood to the brain. I even asked them how long I passed out for. They said about a minute, but they later said they did not know exactly but it felt like forever, but they later said that it wasn't even five minutes. They also said that I passed out twice.

This experience freaked me out and it scared me. I am asking this question because I fear about brain damage. Isn't it that if there is lack of blood to the brain, it can damage it. I just want to ask if it is possible.

This really scared me when I passed out. And I do not think I am going to smoke for a long time.

It's not a completely uncommon thing to happen.

If you've been partying a bit hard or had a long day or have been really stressed out, taking a solid hit of good stuff from a bong no less can cause a head rush, which can cause you to faint.

Marijuana, after all, is classified as a: Intoxicant; Stimulant; Psychedelic; and Depressant.

I've smoked pot before and smoking from a bong definitely ups things a notch or two, especially if the goods are solid. I didn't pass out, but I sure felt a bit woozy and decided to stay put for a while to let myself get reoriented.

Also, if the MJ was dosed with something else, THAT might be a cause for fainting also. Or if you were also taking it with alcohol or any other mind/mood-altering substance.

As for the possibility for brain damage from smoking pot and the like... there's entirely too many arguments about it for me to assuredly say either way, but my feeling is, no.

The RN above me is right, I think. You didn't pass out long enough to suffer brain damage I don't think and when people start suffering brain damage, by that time, they themselves are usually in no shape to wake up and walk around on their own.

Here's a great place to do your research on cannabis and find out the research and analytics DONE on cannabis. And from there, you can read more and make a better educated decision regardless of what your choice is.

Please take care.

it's true that lack of oxygen to the brain can cause brain damage, but people pass out all the time from all kinds of things and i have yet to hear of someone getting brain damage from passing out. it is usually someone who has stopped breathing for more than a couple of minutes. you probably didn't stop breathing when you passed out. i'm sure that your brain is fine.
