Right Hip/Lower Back Pains?!

Question: I am 22 years old. For the last couple years I have been experiencing bad hip pains. It usually begins in the morning with me hobbling around. It hurts worse when I lift my right leg which is the hip that gives me problems. Sometimes I cannot walk. Other times my hip will give out on me. Just suddenly while walking I will get a sharp pain in my lower back/hip area and then I fall. Yesterday I had my husband feel around on my spine to see if we could find anything. When he got to an area in the small of my back, it jolted me when he put pressure on it. It didn't hurt extremely bad, but it was a nice little pinch. And it made me jerk away. We checked again today and it is in the same spot. He said it didn't feel like anything was out of place, but he isn't a doctor. The pain never travels down my leg that I can think of. It is just mainly in my lower back/right hip area. I am wondering what this may be, and what I should ask my doctor. Thanks in advance for any advice.

It sounds like sciatica to me...meaning your sciatic nerve is pinched affecting both hips. Do some internet research on it and see if anything looks familiar.

I did find some great information Thank you! Report It

  • yes you should talk to your doctor about this i have had the same thing i have 2 herniated disc and 1 bulging. You may have the same, you probably have a pinched nerve and may need to stretch everyday. also have the doctor check you for diabetes hope i helped good luck

Go to a chiropractor. I fell a couple years ago and got my hips jammed. The chiropractor really helped.
