Sick and Tired of Being TIRED!?!

Question: What can i do to feel more rested in the mornings? I'm a thin and fairly active individual, young, only 24..

I go to bed around 10 (sometimes earlier) and have to wake up at about 6 to make it to work on time. Lately, i'm tired earlier in the night and can't get out of bed until 6:45 and am always rushing around and ending up anywhere from 5-15 minutes late, daily.

Fortuantely, i have a very nice boss who knows i put in my time and work hard, but i'm sick of always feeling so tired!

After a day of say, snowboarding, i sleep like a baby. but just a typical work day i seem to have crazy dreams, that have me stiring around...

What can i do? Does anybody have any suggestions, or ideas, something thats maybe worked for you? Does any body ever feel like its never enough?

Well, you said you can sleep like a baby after you snowboard. It sounds like you would benefit from a regular workout program. I workout over my lunch hour and I find that if I don't workout for a few days I have trouble sleeping.

Also, make sure you eat a lot of fruits and veggies. They really help to keep your energy level consistent.

Don't drink caffeine after noon.

Good luck.

No matter how much sleep I get, Im always more tired in the morning. I've started taking One-A-Day energy and it gets me through the day with a boost.

I suggest you start an exercise program early in the morning. Make yourself to get up really early so you can work out for about 30 to 45 minutes before breakfast and before you go to work. Do hard aerobics, run, jog, indoor spinning, what ever you like the most, but train hard and drink a cup of coffee when you wake up and wash your face so you are ready to exercise. Then, take an iron pill for about 30 days every 3 months. Do this and you will bring your endorphins up all day and you will be up and running and in a great mood.
Trust me, this is the best answer for you not to be tired anymore.

I work in this area, you may have a sleep disorder. Do you snore?

From what I've read, one of the main triggers of daytime fatigue is dehydration. You should drink half your body weight daily in ounces of good clean filtered water. (A 120 lb person should drink 60 ounces of water each day.)
It would be a geat thing to try and incorporate arobic exercise into your day. Walking can be aerobic and it will also help to reduce some of the stress that is probably causing the crazy dreams. Try some meditation exercises (see taichi.org) or relaxation music at bedtime! All of these things have helped me.
Finally, my children and I all use herbal sleep pillows which help to induce sleep without the hangover from oral medication. (see noellesnaturals.com)

Perhaps you need a multivitamin every day.
