I'm in pain! I need advice!...?!

Question: A month ago I fell down my friends' stairs at her house. For a while, I thought it was getting better, but now, it hurts more than ever! It hurts so bad when I get out of chairs. I talked to my science teacher and she told me that it takes months for a tail bone to heal. Is it normal, though, for out of nowhere to my tail bone to ache after I thought it was healing! What should I do!

applying ice to the area affected will help.

continue doing what you were doing to get it better, sit on a pillow, don't sit down hard, try some arnica it works great.

Take some tylenol and rest up a bit more. She's right. It does take a while to heal. About six weeks.

when dealing with bones, an x-ray is always advised to provide further information as to your damage and what to expect. however, there is little treatment for tailbone injuries other than rest, avoidance of pressure, and anti-inflammatory use. try sitting on a donought shaped pillow, sleeping on your side or stomach, and ibuprofen as reccomended for inflammation and pain.

Trust me on this. Get some aloe ( the actual plant) and cut off a piece. Then, warm it up on a pan until it gets pretty hot and a little dark. Afterwards, let it cool a bit until it is warm, but still somewhat hot. Split it in half and put it on your tail bone. Make sure it stays on a bit tight. Keep it on for about 12 hours and it should help you very very much.

i slipped at a pool once and it came back. just dont fall on it again and keep doing what u were doing

Try sitting on a small inner tube it will take the pressure off the tail bone area and relieve the pain as well. It just may not be fully healed is all, some people heal slower than others.

Hmm, that happens to me a ton! It hurts so bad to play hockey on, too! I always try to do stuff that makes it hurt, it goes away in a few days. I always try to skate and run a ton when I have it because "Pain is Weakness Leaving the Body" and it's so true! Try to be really active. It heals quickly!

talk to a doctor no-one on here can give you qualified medical advice
