It is perfectly normal to inject morphine in the other leg. What you describe is an intramuscular injection and it can be done to any large muscle (typically the upper leg or gluteus muscle), allowing the morphine to be absorbed more slowly into the bloodstream, giving a longer duration of action. However, sometimes the injected medication can cause pressure on local nerves, giving the numbness you describe. It will go away in time.

is that normal? injecting the left leg for pain in the heel on the right leg??? that morphine has a heck of a long way to go!!!! And no that does not sound normal at all. I'd go and see another doctor.
i would go see another doctor. that doesn't seem like the right place to be injecting morphine. maybe it's just me, but alot of doctors are "quacks"
