What is causing my foot pain?!
Question: The outside edge of my right foot hurts when I step on it with all my weight. However, it doesn't hurt when i push and rub it with my fingers. The pain is right under that bump in the side of your foot. What could this be and should I get checked out?

I am being treated for this same condition at present. Although the podiatrist didn't give it a name, the other people on this thread have.
In my case I had three little corns over the callus area that I "Dug' out. However, the podiatrist informed me that the reason for the pain is that ulcers form underneath and must be seen by them (Debrided) and a sanding tool and dressing applied,as failure and a worsening can lead to hospitalisation and surgery.
Recommendations are that the dead skin must be sanded back on a regular basis to avoid complications. I have only had two visits, and my feet feel great. Like you, this is a weight baring condition.
I guess that as your feet carry you through life, they must be cared for.
ingrown toenail...?
could be Plantar Fasciitis.

my wife had that and they told her to get cushion insoles for her shoes
I have the same problem. Its called Plantar Fasciitis. It can be VERY painful. You probably need orthotics to put in your shoes to correct the problem. A Chiropodist or Podiatrist can help you.
Do you walk on the side of your foot. I used to be told that I walk on the outside of my foot and run my shoes over to that side.===
If it is plantar fasciitis, I found good relief from doing 3 things. 1. taking 1 aleve every night before bed, 2. wearing a foot thing at night that holds your toes back, lengthening the tendon in the foot. and 3. Doing stretching exercises like standing on a stair with the toes and bending the heal down to stretch the calves hard.
I had this problem off and on for a few years, but since doing this starting a year ago I have had no problems.
