Chickenpox shingles virus?!

Question: What is this chicken/poxshingles type virus all about?
My legs started to lose strength and feel swollen. I had an ache down one side, felt dehydrated and was EXTREMELY tired. It lasted about two weeks, then went away and now seems to have come back.
Who can tell me about it?

Shingles can be an extremely debilitating illness because it doesn't clear up as easily as childhood chicken pox. People who get shingles can often feel tired/lethargic for weeks or months after contracing the illness.

You are asking about one thing and describing symptoms from something else. Shingles is a rash usually around the torso, it is red, itches and hurts. Not sure what you have.

If you'd had shingles you would have had a rash also. I think you'd better see your GP to get a correct diagnosis. Do it now, you don't want to be ill over Christmas do you?

You should go and see your Doctor. They might know what it is. You can call NHS on 0845 4647 for nurse advice and health information. The helpline is open 24 hours.

Best to see your GP, doesn't sound like shingles to me.

Sounds like a slow recovery from a massive hangover following a super binge.

I've noticed that wine and other drinks make my legs go weak and stupid so I fall over and hurt myself.
I sleep and sleep.
Also I lose my memory.
