The lower left side of my back is killing me whenever I move it...?!
Question: I am a 15 year old male. I live in chicago, so on Saturday I had to shovel. The next day I noticed a very slight pain in my lower back. I'm a pitcher and today when I threw my back started hurting. Now about 2 hours after I pitched my lower left part of my back kills. It only hurts in sudden quick bursts of pain when I bend it (thats the best way I can explain it.) If you can help me with what it is and what I can do to stop or less the pain that would be great.

It is very possible that you did pull a muscle, shoveling is a very back intensive activity, and if you don't do it often, more then likely your form is bad. If you have any numbness in you legs, it is a very big deal, see an orthopedic or spine specialist MD. If you just have pain in the muscles on the side not such a big deal, talk to a physical therapist to help you strengthen it, and decrease your pain.
You might want to see a doctor if it doesn't go away, or it gets worse. You might have sprained something.
A doctor can help you more than anyone here on yahoo answers.
