Question: Vicodin is a narcotic. Not only can you get high from it, you can become addicted. I work in a psychiatric hospital, and the number of vicodin addicts we see is alarming! They are usually regular working people who sustain some type of injury, then receive a prescription from their doctor. Many of these people become dependent on vicodin and lose their ability to cope with everyday stressors. Some become violent or aggressive towards others. Alcohol may exacerbate vicodin's effects. Be careful with this drug, please.
