Why do I sometimes get light-headed when working out?!
Question:
Why do I sometimes get light-headed when working out?
After running around alot in volleyball practice. I felt like I was going to pass out and got dizzy. (Almost like the feeling you get when standing up after sitting down a long time). We were inside just doing some hard conditioning. Why did this happen and how can I prevent it?
Answers:
this could mean two things; a) you're dehydrated and/or b) you're not getting enough calories to sustain you through these activities. try experimenting with both to see exactly what it is but i'm leaning towards the not enough calories theory. something as simple as drinking a protein shake before practice/running will help defeat this.
