What can cause a headache over weeks?!

Question:

What can cause a headache over weeks?

I asked a similar question to this before, but the information has changed quite a bit. I've had nagging headaches for about 3 or 4 hours a day. It was suggested it was a sinus infection, so I went to the doctor, he prescribed amoxicillin. The headache *seemed* to get better while taking the amoxicillin, but 2 weeks after I stopped they seem to be back. Not too sure whether the amoxicillin was just a coincidence or not. Doctor couldn't find anything else wrong with lungs/heart/blood pressure/eyes etc. I have no fever, haven't had any congestion or allergies or anything, so I'm not too sure whether it could be a sinus infection or not. The pressure/pain seems to be slightly higher than my temples. I have no other symptoms besides the headache. Is it possible I could have a sinus infection with no fever or congestation that comes back 2 weeks after taking amoxicillin with the pressure slightly above the temples, or should I look more at tension-type headaches? Thanks for your help!

Thanks for all the replies! It does feel like pressure more than anything else, so it migh tbe some sort of sinus pressure or infection. Is there anything you can do on your own to treat sinus pressure or an infection to rule it out, or are more antibiotics the only option for treatment?
