What is the correct length ratio of torso to legs ?!

Question:

What is the correct length ratio of torso to legs ?

Answers:

Well, there isn't a "correct" ratio. Each person is slightly different, and that's normal.

However, there are some proportions that have been accepted as "common proportional relationships" or the ideal proportions.

The unit of measurement they use is "heads." From your chin to the top of your head is one head. So, you can see that this will be slightly different for each person.

The average adult human figure is about 7 to 7.5 heads tall. But the idealized human figure is usually represented as 8 heads tall.

If you break up this ideal 8-head high human, the 8 parts would be like this:
1 part - the head (top of head to bottom of chin)
3 parts - from the chin to pubis
4 parts - from the pubis to the feet

So, I guess you could say the ideal torso to legs ratio is 3 to 4 (3:4), but the average human will be slightly different.
