you can have a build up on your tongue you need to go buy a tongue scrapper and scrap your tongue everyday or maybe you have what the Dr. calls a geographic tongue they call it that because the tongue take on shapes like a map when it get sore. i have a geographic tongue and my tongue can stay sore for about a week it's just the cells breaking down on the tongue so just keep it scrap as much as you can and use mouthwash to kill bacteria .
