Who is sick of problems with the health care system?can't afford prescriptions, doctor vists, procedures...???

Please view this site read the information. If you agree sign it and foward it to people you think may be interested. I am only trying to pass the word along to others, because I have an extremely rare kidney disease and because I will need a transplant I am uninsurable. I also can't afford perscriptions, etc. so I want to pass the word along to sign this petition to try to change things for others like me and other people who agree.

Pleas let me know what you think about our health care system? Did you agree with the petition? Did you sign it? Did you foward it to anyone? Do you have any experiences similar to mine with health care?

i thank you for your info. and well as all of us realize that these things cost money some people cant afford any type of insurance whether they are working two jobs or not. Im lucky right now because im on my parents ins. but once i graduate college im srewed. I just feel that it is screwed up that because you have a life threatening condition and you will need a transplant or some other serious surgery they call you uninsurable. I mean it is hard enough to face possibly dieing before you turn 21 or that you may need a transplant, endlessly being sick, on medications, and possibly facing not having more or never having kids...that describes my situation ...i just think people go through enpugh when being that sick but does our system have to prevent us from recieving the care we need to survive but cant affor?? i just dont think its fair nor too much to ask...and i hope i dint sound mean because i wasnt trying to be...i was just trying to make my point more clear.. thank you

Im sorry to hear about your son... Your son's pneumonia problem maybe asthma related. My sister has asthma as do I and my other siblings. My sister had asthma on and off several times and was hospitalized for it much like your son's case but they only said that is from the weather change and her asthma, because it would come on all of a sudden shed be playing and running around 15 minutes later she'd be on the couch wheezing, pale, shaking and my parents would rush her to the hospital. Everytime it started like that and was always pneumonia with one of her lungs filled with fluid... I thought i might mention it i hope he gets better....

I have a similar problem. I am a single mom (due to a divorce, not promiscuity) with 2 kids, ages 7 and 3. I work two jobs to support my family and do not recieve any child support or government assitance. My 3yr old son has had pnuemonia 9 times since December 2006. The cause of which is unknown. He has had many ER visits, and hospital stays, and is currently on 3 daily medications. We know he has asthma but this seems to be much more complicated. He is insured under Florida Kidcare (which is through the state for low-mid income families), so I only have to pay $15/month for his insurance (I make too much to qualify for medicaid). I dont like to complain because it has helped us a lot, but it does not cover all the things he needs. Some other tests are available, and some medications which have proven to be more effective, but the insurance won't cover it, and i have no way to pay for it. I need to know what is wrong with my son so we can find a way to help him. I hate seeing my baby boy like this. It just isn't right. Something needs to change.

I will probably end up signing the petition, but i prefer to read a bit more first. Thank you for addressing this, and pointing me in the right direction.
