Iron Deficiency Anemia?!

Question:

Iron Deficiency Anemia?

I've gotten blood tests done and the results said that I was very low on Iron and Vitamin D, and the Doctor told me that I'm not anemic, but I'm very close to it. Everytime I stand up I feel extremely dizzy so I can't walk straight for about 15 seconds. I also get very lightheaded and weak after standing up or doing some physical activity. I have really bad chest pain too, and other symptoms. Do you think that I might have anemia? Are lightheadedness and weakness signs of anemia? If I am anemic, what do I do about it?

Answers:

You can be iron deficient without being technically anemic.
Your symptoms are classic signs of anemia/iron deficiency
You need to take iron supplements, and a vitamin B tablet.
Once you start on iron supplements, you'll feel like a new person.
