My step daughters live in Houston. Every summer we get them with heads full of lice.?

We have perfected the ritual "Delousing" and although this year was the worst ever (it looked like a microscopic colony of fire ants) and all of the critters are dead. The problem is that there were so many egg casings that we cant seem to get them all out. Is there some compound either organic or not, that will make their adhesive release and allow us to complete the removal of the debris. I could go on about how the courts in Texas wont consider their fathers actions irresponsible but I would rather focus on the critter stuff for now. These girls are just entering their teens and I have to teach them to take their hygeine into their own hands and accept responsibility for it themselves. Wish me luck.

i am a professional nitpicker and i have helped 100s of families eliminate headlice and nits over the years: Comb out is the only way to go- get a good finetooth metal comb like Licemeister or Terminator. Smother hair with a thick conditioner. Take thin sections hair and comb the hair out, strand by strand. 3-4 thorough comb-out would eliminate lice and nits permanently. this is the safest and surest method. also watch video @ www.headlice.org about how to do the comb-out. good luck!
