Beoming a Doctor in a different country?!

Question:

Beoming a Doctor in a different country?

Hey,
I'm not a doctor or even in college yet but I am picking a college to attend at the moment. I have always loved England and want to move there when I get older. i have also always wanted to become a doctor. I curently live in the U.S..
I recently read that the british system to becoming a doctor is different than the US system. The British system involves not going to college but rather to go straight to medical school. Would the right method be to go to college in America and then move over to medical school in England?
I'm just very confused at the moment and any help at all will be grate very much appreciated.

Answers:

are you planning on practicing in england or america? because if you were intending to become a doctor in the U.S. eventually, it would be more logical for you to just attend a medical school here. on the other hand if you have your heart set on settling in england, i would contact a medical school there and get information. the british school/university system is very different from america's so make sure you pay attention to their requirements. you may have to finish another year of schooling in england after high school, that's what my friend did when she trasnferred to italy.
