Smoking Herbs?
Can smoking herbs such as wild lettuce and wild deaga(not sure if that is spelled right) cause you to fail a drug test? From what I have read, none of these seem to be illegal. But I would like to get some insight from people whom may know. I don't want to try these, but I don't want to lose my job over something as small as this. It's not like it's weed or coke. I would like a real informative answer, not a lecture.
They say these can be relaxing when smoked, or mixed with a tea.

They are not called "smoking herbs" I mean, if I smoke them...

The test would have to specifically look for metabolytes of these substances. I have to perform drug tests in my workplace and although we use a good test I can tell you that there is no way that it would look for these substances.
Also as these substances are perfectly legal your employer would be wrong to censure you for the use of them - unless of course you are in a safety-critical job such as a train driver, pilot, surgeon etc.
One last point smoking is not the best way to use these substances because of the harsh properties of the smoke damaging lung tissue.
