I'm sorry, but yes you are going through withdraw.
Quitting alcohol is never easy, that's for damn sure, and whatever the outcome you have my congratulations. From what you describe, it's possible that you might have DT. The risk of mortality from this, however, has dropped to about 5-15% in the last years, from what I know. Not treating it, however, raises the risk to about 35-40%.
Fever and hallucinations are normal symptoms, and expect high blood pressure/pulse. You can get treatment will all sorts of "pam's", as I call them. Meaning benzodiazepines: Diazepam, Lorazepam, Librium and so on. These compensate for the damage done by alcohol to a certain benzo in your body.
Do NOT treat this lightly, go see a doctor ASAP, even if symptoms disappear after a while. Neglecting this would be very dangerous. I wish you all the best, get well soon!
Experience as medical student, also happened in the family.
It sounds a lot like DTs but I can't be sure. Ordinary withdrawal can be pretty bad too. That kind of drinking cycle really takes a lot out of you. Please do yourself a favor and get a medical detox. It might save your life and almost certainly would help you get a running start at this. Most people don't stay stopped without help. Call the AA hotline or suicide hotline to get info on where to go or call your community mental health center or just go to the ER. They may suggest inpatient or outpatient treatment for after your detox and this is probably a good idea. You can do it one day at a time.
You are suffering from withdrawal symptoms which will gradually get less frequent and less severe but you must persevere.
You don't have the DTs or the shakes as this is characterized by trembling and quivering hands. This is often the case with alcoholics when they don't get their alcohol.
hmm. you seem too be able to type rather coherently for being "confused. "
DTs is a very serious medical problem, but you haven't really been sober long enough yet.
BUT, unsupervised detox can be dangerous.
if you are serious about quitting, find a doctor or a rehab program.
