Question: I freak out and act different when theirs more then 1 person with me?
Answers:
You probably have social anxiety issues. I have a lot of social anxiety, I think because I'm too self-aware at times. One thing I've noticed is that I act differently depending on who I'm with. When I'm with someone who I see as more serious, I'll act seriously. When I'm with someone silly, I act more silly. Now, when I'm with a serious person and a silly person at the same time, how am I supposed to act? A lot of the times I just clam up, or struggle to act in a way that both people will be comfortable around. As a result, I seem and feel awkward. I've never sought medical or psychiatric help for my anxiety, but it is a big problem in my life.
Hope this helps!
Perhaps you're more laid back during a one-to-one situation as that may seem less overwhelming. If you tend to get more anxious while around more than one person, that may be a symptom of social anxiety. Please do talk with a licensed counselor about it, and if need be, a board-certified psychiatrist.
