Question: 8 vicodin a day okay?
Is this bad for me or is it okay? I don't feel any damage but I know the acetaminophen can potentially harm the liver.
The pills are 5mg hydrocodone, 500mg acetaminophen.
SO, is it safe or not?

There is always a chance of addiction with any narcotic. Vicodin can also affect passing urine.
You are ingesting 40 mg hydrocodone and 4,000mg acetaminophen daily.
That level of acetaminophen can do severe damage to your liver
The level of hydrocodone is below the danger level - but I wonder if your physician ought not to be trying to wean you off of the opiate medication
It really depends on how long you take 8 per day for. Taking 8 tablets per day for an extended period of time will certainly cause some degree of liver damage. take note that one would not necessarily "feel" damage being done! I would not take 8 per day for more than a week, as doing so may cause serious liver damage
