Why are our ears shaped the way they are?!
Question: Why are our ears shaped the way they are?
Answers:
The ears are shaped to gather sound and channel it to the hearing mechanism in our skull.I think people look better then to have just a hole in the side of the head.Notice the different forms animals have of ears . Like the elephant,it has huge ears to gather more sound to warn of approaching predators. Plus they move the ears to cool off in the heat of Africa.
They're cupped so that they can catch the sound waves and direct them into our ear drums. That's why people cup their ears when they're straining to hear.
