How do I know if I have a cold or allergies or sinus infection?!
Question: How do I know if I have a cold or allergies or sinus infection?
I also need to know because I have such bad anxiety when I am ill :/
I had allergy symptoms for two or three weeks and kept forgetting to take my allergy meds and they were getting worse and worse. More than anything I had an awful headache all over but especially around my temples and sinuses. Then on Sunday my best friend came over and had a cold...
Tuesday night I felt the scratchy throat, headache, stuffy nose & sneezes come on. My boyfriend woke up with the same symptoms, mostly sneezing and stuffy nose. Yesterday it felt really clear to me that I had a cold. The worst part has been the headaches. My eyes are also puffy.
Today I went to work and at the end of the day my nose started pouring out (clear) running like a faucet and my throat got super sore and its been sore ever since (for about three hours). What is going on with me!? I have to be feeling good tomorrow. Should I take antibiotics or is this normal for a cold? I think its worse than allergies cause I've been really tired. Please help.

A really easy test for a sinus infection?
Touch the sides of your nose, right be above where your nostrils flair out.
Does it feel tender?
Sinus infection
it sounds like a sinus infection, having just gotten over one myself.
you should go to the doctor and have him/her tell you! you would need to go anyway to get antibiotics.a z pack should clear it right up if it is a sinus infection.
for immediate relief though, I would recommend decongestant medicine if your sinuses are bothering you and chloraseptic cough drops that will temporarily numb your sore throat.
