Becoming a living organ donor?!

Question: Becoming a living organ donor!?
I'm thinking about maybe becoming a living organ donor when I'm older(I'm only 17)!. So I was wondering what kind or requirements there are for a person to be one, and about some of the pros and cons!. I'd also love to hear some personal experiences if any of you guys have any!.

Thanks in advance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It depends on what particular living organ you want to donate since they have specific requirements (blood type, body massive index, etc!.)!. But in general, you must be:

1!. Intellectually ready!. Study about living organ donation, and understand the process including the risks involved!.

2!. Emotionally ready!. Prepare yourself emotionally for living donation, including the possibility that the donation may not be successful, and that you may be harmed in the process!.

3!. Physically ready!. You have to be in great physical shape because you need to withstand major surgery, you need to have a healthy organ to donate and you need to live with less than your full complement of organs!.

4!. Financially ready!. You should have the financial resources such as savings and paid time-off (vacation, sick days, short-term disability, etc!.) to tide you over (and your family, once you have one) while you are being tested in the hospital for surgery, and away from work while you recover!. You must have insurance protection in the even you die or will become permanenty disabled by the donation!.

5!. Spiritually ready!. You must be driven to donate by the right moves!.

In my state (Florida), it is included when you get your driver's license!. There are no real requirements; you can specify specific organs, you can donate your body to science, or you can just let them take what is good - my eyes were much better back in my younger days, by the time I kick, they may not be of any use - but, nowadays, they can use your skin, your bones, etc!. It is information that is usually included on your driver's license or state ID!. Check with your local DMV!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A friend of mine donated one kidney for her husband!. She is doing great, no health problems, so is he!. I think you need a full bloodwork done and a personal health history!. Other than that you would be a suitable candidate because you are young still!. Organs are healthy!. You could wait until your 20s!. I guess just look after yourself, no binge drinking, eating fatty foods etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
