Even though everyone does it, people have imposed a strange double standard onto the issue of flatulence!. Most people don't like it because it does stink and it can be quite obvious!. Another thing is, and while I hate to say this, you should do what your mom tells you, since she feeds you and stuff!. There's not much I can help you with!.
