What kind of doctor should I take my mom to?!
Question: What kind of doctor should I take my mom to!?
Back Story (you might need to know some of this): About 4 or 5 years ago my mom was rushed to the ER for low blood pressure due to a lot of knowledgeable things!. They ran multiple test and found that she had a severe blockage in her intestines!. Well they did surgery and removed 60% of her intestines & 1 whole ovary; 1/2 ovary!. They told her to stay away from stress!. She also has had Crohn's Disease her whole life!. Well needless to say the blockage is back (which they told her there was a chance that it could happen)!. She's also had severe pains in her stomach!. Well I'm taking her to the doctor's and paying for it (my parents don't have health insurance && sadly are struggling financially right now)!. But I don't know what kind of a doctor to take her to!. I don't want to waste money on a dr!. just to have him tell me to go to another doctor!.
My question is: What type of doctor should I take her to!?

I am sorry you are going through this difficult situation with your mother!. My advise is that you find a good General Practitioner who can evaluate her whole health and who can become her family doctor!.
Try to ask around for references and recommendations!. A good GP will be able to make a good health evaluation and if needed, refer her to a specialist!.
If she is in with severe pain, you might as well take her to Emergency!.

I would choose a general practicioner who specializes in Environmental Medicine and works for a general hospital!. This type of MD would have access to referrals within the hospital and better the communication between!. A gastroenterologist is needed, but a general practicioner will need to be the Primary care provider (PCP) to refer her to one!.

You also would benifit from caregiver support networking, since there are local groups that meet monthly!. You will find a lot of people in your area that way who face similar situations, and they will know of which local doctors in your area are good or bad for this situation!. Check on Google for a list of groups in your area by typing the County, State!. "Caregiver support groups" and hit search!. After the first search, narrow your search by adding terms "Crohn*" and Crohn's to the end of the search term!. Keep going till you find one!. Here is a start!.!.!.

first off, i'm not an expert, so you should expect answers from an expert!.!.!. hopefully
but 2nd i have to say that going to an overall doctor is sadly (probably) your best bet, because if its severe (which it sounds like it is, due to the pain) the doctor can rush you to a hospital, meanwhile specialists can take weeks, if not months to see!. Get her to a doctor ASAP, any pain is always a sign of something not going well, and she just needs to be in medical care right now
