Question: What do you know about tongue piercings!?
I wanna get my tongue piercing, but I'll need it done before the end of summer!. How long does it take to heal!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I got my tongue pierced when I was 18 and interestingly enough it really didn't hurt!. I can't remember the exact length of time but it is a few weeks!. The place I went to were wonderful and they checked in on you too to make sure you were taking proper care of it!. To make it heal faster make sure you rinse well with mouth wash after you eat/drink/smoke!. To help keep it from swelling a lot take ibuprofen as directed and make sure you sleep with a couple pillows to keep your head elevated!. For me, talking also helped lol but be EXTREMELY CAREFUL when eating I've bitten down on it more than a few times and it hurts like crazy!! Make sure you also do your research on the place you're getting it done!. Go to a place that someone you know personally has gone to and had a successful piercing!. Also, make sure that the piercer goes over the procedure and care of it and make sure that all of the equipment and most importantly the needle is sterile!. They should inform you of this but some places are dirty so trust your gut!. My guy also gave me a freezie pop afterwards to help!Www@Answer-Health@Com
