I have headaches when I wake up...?!
Question: I have headaches when I wake up!.!.!.!?
How can I prevent from having headaches every morning!. If I sleep too long (I try not to) then I have a massive headache all day!. Also, I have knots in my neck from whiplash like 14 years ago, and I get neck cramps all the time in my sleep, I use a special pillow, but it only works for a few days!. I'll sleep for 7 or 8 hours, and the side of my head hurts that I was sleeping on, like i've been laying on it for days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best posture for you to sleep is on your side with a pillow which is not too thick!. It is better if you change your side twice during the night!.
If you are having allergies or sinus disease you may get similar headaches!.But I feel that due to your position when sleeping the neck muscles are under strain!.
In the morning you should do some stretch exercises for the neck muscles and repeat them before sleep!.For these you should get advise from a physio!.
The head ache too may be a symptom due to neck strain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

* yup, looks like you've got neck issues!. can you swing going to massage or other treatments!?
* yeah, sleeping in (sadly) can do it!. glad you've identified that
* i wonder if your clench or grind your teeth at night!? your dentist can make you a great mouth guard for night (i have one for clenching)
* can you make time to stretch at night and in the morning!? i wonder if that would help
