Does rehab for people who are addicted to video games really exist?!

Question: Does rehab for people who are addicted to video games really exist!?
Answers:
You would have to prove that video games represent the definition of a real physical or mental addiction!. I highly doubt that video games produce chemical changes in your body that would bring about an honest "addictive" behavior!.

Because the addictive properties of videogames (or media in general) have never been proven, there would be no effective means of treatment (because there is no withdrawl), hence no reason for rehab (rehabs are designed to treat withdrawl symptoms, and help your body rid itself of the addictions, there are no withdrawl symptoms for things like videogames or shopping "addictions")!.

So, to answer your question: no ,there are no videogame rehabs; however,I do imagine though that there are support groups of self-proclaimed video game addicts, just as there are support groups for shopaholics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
