Question: HELP! I'm craving a cigarette!!?
I decided to try to quit for real today, I woke up at 8 and I didn't smoke a cigarette yet!. I am craving one so desperately!. How do I get my mind off of this!?!? I can't exercise because I just got knee surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have enough will power to not light it, I have found just the simple act of taking drags off of an unlit cigarette makes the craving go away!. Especially if it's a mentholWww@Answer-Health@Com
Congratulations on deciding to quit! I've been down this road many many times!
Here are some ideas when you get the craving:
1!. brush your teeth!.
2!. chew on a straw, toothpick, or lollipop!.
3!. keep your hands busy! Do a puzzle, knit, sew, cross-stitch, paint, etc!.
4!. keep a large bottle of cold water nearby and sip on it through out the day!.

Do puzzles, suck on sugar-free popsicles !.!.!. anything else except smoking!. Good job on deciding to quit!. You are already healthier!. Nicotine replacement can also help with the severe cravings!.
